Connect Linear
An owner or admin connects Linear. Turn on Chat first, because issue conversations use the same policy and Persona.
Connect Linear to my devboxes Organization. Give me the link to install the devboxes app, then ask me which Linear Team belongs to which devboxes Project, and bind them.
To do it yourself:
An owner or admin can also open Integrations > Linear in devboxes and choose Add to Linear instead of steps 1 and 2.
-
Start the installation:
organization.json { "organizationId": "<organization id>" }devboxes invoke chat.connect-linear --input @organization.json -
Within 15 minutes, open the
authorizationUrlfrom the result and install the devboxes app in your Linear workspace. The browser then returns to the Linear page under Integrations in devboxes, which says whether devboxes was added. -
Bind a Project to a Linear Team:
linear.json { "organizationId": "<organization id>", "projectId": "<project id>", "configuration": { "kind": "linear", "scopeId": "<Linear Team ID>" } }devboxes invoke issues.configure --input @linear.json
When someone delegates an issue, or mentions devboxes on it, in a Team that no Project binds, devboxes starts nothing and answers in the agent session with the issues.configure input that binds the Team. A reply in a session whose issue moved to such a Team gets the same answer. An agent session gets this answer once. A Project has one issue tracker, so binding a Project that already has one replaces that binding.
Start tasks from issues
Start tasks by delegating a Linear issue, assigning a Jira issue, labelling a GitHub issue for devboxes, or asking devboxes in Chat to take an issue, and let agents work with the bound issues.
Connect Jira
Connect a Jira site with an account for devboxes and bind a Jira Project, so that assigning an issue starts a task.
